Madlynne "Lynne" K. Vanderspool

Madlynne K. “Lynne” Vanderspool was born June 23, 1943, in Addison Township to Peter H. and Winifred (nee Piper) Vanderspool.  She passed away March 1, 2023 in St. Charles, IL.

Lynne was a 1961 graduate of Main Township West High School in Des Plaines.  She loved nature, camping, traveling, gardening and was an avid reader.  Lynne was also an excellent athlete, but she excelled most in softball and started the women's softball league in Elk Grove Village where she played and enjoyed the camaraderie of sportsmanship and friendship with other players for many years.

Lynne is survived by her nephews Robert and Jan P. II (Nanette) Vanderspool; her nieces, Glory Reynolds and Richey Vanderspool; and her Godsons, Scott and Brian Laverd.  She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brothers, Richard G. (the late Delores) and Jan P. Vanderspool.  Lynne is also survived by many dear friends.

Visitation Saturday, March 11th from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 12:00 noon at Matz Mt. Prospect Funeral Chapel, 410 E Rand Rd, Mt Prospect.  Interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 2501 E. Euclid Ave., Arlington Heights.
