Linda Lukas, nee Lepore, 72, of Plainfield, passed away June 22, 2022 after a brief but valiant fight against a diagnosis of acute myeloid leukemia. Beloved wife of Leonard; loving mother of Michelle (Mike) Gerulis and the late Jason (Melissa) Lukas; cherished grandmother of Jayson and Jessica Lukas, Ava Grace and the soon to arrive Lukas Gerulis; devoted daughter of the late James Bernice Lepore; dearest sister of James (Renee) Lepore; treasured aunt of Amber (Bryan) Parkhurst and A.J. Lepore and great aunt of Charlotte and Maddie.
Linda was a woman like no other - kind, selfless, courageous, compassionate, loving, and the most devoted mom a daughter and son could ask for. She always put others and their needs before her own and was always there to lend a helping hand. Her family, especially her husband, children, grandchildren, niece, nephew, and great nieces meant the world to her. Her world revolved around them. Her kind smile and gentle nature were a rarity. Despite the pain, discomfort, and distress she experienced during her illness, she held her head up high, handling it with the utmost grace and dignity. Such an amazing woman!!! There are no words to fill the hole that she has left in so many hearts. Until we see her again, may we continue to celebrate her life and legacy to the fullest.
