Jeanne Lynn (Bronge) Canfield

September 13, 1949 — June 24, 2020

Marengo

Jeanne Lynn Canfield, nee Bronge, 70, of Marengo, passed away June 24, 2020.  Beloved wife of the late William; loving mother of Patti (Steven) Gromer and Charles "Charley" Wiegand; cherished grandmother of Britani-Marie Holmes (Ryan Best), Tiffani (Mark) Sniegowski, Lindzi Holmes, Brittany Ilene Gromer (Kyle Westwood), Katie Gromer (Allen Burns) and Nick Gromer; proud great grandmother of Caiden and Elena Sniegowski, Aubre, Mackenzie and Landon Westwood, Danika Gromer, Ayden Burns and Faith Campa; devoted daughter of the late James and Helen Bronge, nee Koch; dearest sister of James "Jimmy" Bronge, Patricia Branson, Richard "Ricky" Bronge and the late Donald and Robert "Bobby" Bronge.

In her younger years, Jeanne was a volunteer EMT in Melrose Park, the town that she was born and raised in.  She was always a sassy one, even in her later years as she suffered from dementia, but all remained grateful that she still recognized and knew all of her family members. She loved to sing and dance the polka any chance she could and watching Grumpy Old Men and Grumpy Old Men II repeatedly became a favorite pastime for her.  Jeanne enjoyed taking her dog, Bonnie, on walks and going for car rides.  Having lunch was always at the forefront of her mind.  Even after a lovely fulfilling lunch,it wouldn't be long before she began inquiring about having lunch again.  Jeanne took great delight in watching her great grandkids play soccer and she lit up at the sight of them.  She was a loving woman who was passionate about her family.  She will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
