Jeanette "Jan" (Bohl) McKee

Jeanette “Jan” McKee, nee Bohl, 80, of Matteson, went to heaven August 19, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.  Beloved wife of Terrence “Terry” McKee and the late John Orowick; loving mother of John (Theresa) Orowick, Cheryl (Mark) Michalow, Lynda (Rich) Harper, Mandi (Andy) McDaniel and Allison Kramer; cherished grandmother of John, Shannon, Nicole (Stephanie), Jacob (Airyn), Luke (Madeline), Thomas, Jackson and Joseph and great grandmother of Holden; dearest sister of the late Marianne (Judy) and Earl Bohl; fond aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Jeanette was a graduate of Kelly High School in Chicago.  She went on to work as a cashier at Jewel before becoming an administrative assistant for Affiliated Steam where she retired after 27 years. 

Family was the most important thing to Jeanette.  She loved her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchild fiercely.  She was a loyal and dedicated friend who maintained many lifelong friendships. 

One of Jeanette’s greatest passions included family dinners for football games and just getting together to cook, eat and love on her grandkids and great grandchild.  She enjoyed playing poker and belonged to 2 poker clubs.  Jeanette also loved road trips with her husband, discovering new places and meeting new people.

Jeanette had a strong faith in God and was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

A Memorial Visitation will be held Saturday, September 17th, from 9:30 a.m. until time of Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 6850 W. 159th Street, Tinley Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jeanette’s memory to Project Mobility, 2930 Campton Hills Road, St. Charles, IL 60175 (Please indicate donation is for Jeanette McKee in notes section).
