Gordon E. Tontlewicz

Gordon E. Tontlewicz, 81, lifelong resident of Chicago, passed away October 6, 2022.  Beloved husband of the late Gloria, nee Rennick; loving father of Gordon and Catherine (Hector) Rodriguez; cherished grandfather of Joel Rodriguez, Tiffany McKinnon (Richard Vergara) and Jocelyn Rodriguez; devoted son of the late Joseph and Mildred, nee Ferguson; dear brother of the late Joann Mischke (the late Donald) and the late Joseph Moore; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Gordon was born on January 27, 1941 in Chicago, IL to Joseph & Mildred (Ferguson) Tontlewicz. He married Gloria (nee Rennick) on January 14, 1961 and had two children. 

Gordon's greatest passions were his family and working. He especially enjoyed his 30 years as a Doorman with Darien Condominiums. He was a loving father and grandfather who was always there for his family. Throughout his life, he loved reading the newspaper, watching old westerns, trains (both real and model) and spending time with his grandchildren. Gordon was devoted to family and deeply loved by all who knew him. He will be profoundly missed and never forgotten.

Visitation Tuesday, October 11th, 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home, 4800 N. Austin Ave, Chicago, where a funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 12th at 11:00 a.m. Entombment next to his loving wife at Mt. Olive Cemetery.
