Frank Raszkowski Obituary

Frank J. Raszkowski, 70, of Round Lake Beach, passed away March 18, 2021 after a valiant battle with cancer.  Beloved husband of Mary, nee Giese; loving father of Cheryl (Kenny) Munson, Carol (Joey) Manfredonia and Francis; cherished grandfather of Dylan and Jenna Munson and Alyssa Manfredonia; dearest brother of the late Helen Jaros; dear brother in law of Roseann (Glen) Gallas and Russell Jaros; fond uncle of many.

Anyone who knew Frank knew that he was a perfectionist. Especially where his hair and appearance were concerned.  He loved to wear suits and dress to the nines and his ride always had to be clean, particularly if the family was going just about anywhere.

His perfectionism stood out in any task he took on and there were many.  Frank was a jack of all trades and his handiness was proved many times over as he made one improvement after another in his home, which he was extremely proud of.

Frank opened his heart to everyone and always wanted to be of help.  He lent his hand at any opportunity, notably with family and their cars.  He consistently went the extra mile finding great delight in any happiness he could bring to another.  His remarkable character made him an excellent role model for many.  Knowing this, he continually strove for that perfectionism to be a good example for others.

Frank took great pride in his career as a service manager at Gurnee Dodge, where he was a longtime employee.  He made many lifelong friends there which he continued to stay in touch with.  A talented singer, Frank was also the lead singer in a band in his younger days, singing rock and roll and sixties music.

Above all, Frank’s greatest joy was his family.  He was very proud of his children and grandchildren and was deeply loved by his family and many friends.  He will be greatly missed.
