Eugene "Chip" Francis Staples Jr.

Eugene “Chip” Francis Staples, Jr., age 79, born into eternal life on January 10, 2024. Beloved husband of the late Mary Ann Therese (nee Titei); loving father of Todd Kenneth Staples, Melissa Archene Staples (Melissa Ryan), and Marcus Ronald Staples (Eric Siedschlag); proud grandfather of Drue Tomas Staples; dear brother of David Lance Staples, Tad Richard Staples and Jill Archene Mecessyne (nee Staples).

Alumni of Main East H.S. in Park Ridge, IL and later moved to Cedar Lake, IN where he married and started a family. He was a volunteer fireman in Cedar Lake for 16 years and a member of the American Legion Post # 261 in Cedar Lake.  Chip was employed as a driver for various building and automotive supply companies and loved everything automotive.  He also had a huge heart for animals and cared for many throughout his life.

Friends and family will gather Saturday, January 13th, from 9:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11:30 a.m. at Burdan Funeral Home, 12901 Wicker Avenue, Cedar Lake, IN.  Interment to follow at German Methodist Cemetery in Cedar Lake.
