It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Taylor Nicole Ferguson (Krempel), age 34, who departed this life on July 14, 2025, in Winfield, Illinois. Born on October 18, 1990, in Barrington, Illinois, Taylor was a warm and vibrant presence whose impact was felt deeply by all who knew her.
Taylor’s life was filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments. She shared a deep bond with her husband, Charles R. Ferguson, who fondly remembers their wedding day and the moment she first told him she loved him. Her children Tiffany, Tanner, Travis, and bonus son Dayton Ferguson brought her immense joy and pride.
Taylor was known for her quick wit, (sometimes dark) humor, and her perfect balance of sarcasm and thoughtfulness. From childhood to adulthood, Taylor’s spirited nature shone through, her mother fondly recalls a moment when, at just seven years old, Taylor playfully hip-checked her into the grass while playing roller hockey in their driveway. Her longtime best friend Lindzi will forever cherish their countless sleepovers, unwavering friendship, and the honor of being godmother to two of Taylor’s children.
For the past four years, Taylor worked as Assistant to the Secretary-Treasurer at IAM District 141, where she was cherished by her colleagues for her unwavering dedication, kindness, and generosity. She built profound and lasting relationships at work, leaving a memorable mark through her professionalism and her caring nature.
A devoted fan of the Green Bay Packers and Chicago White Sox, Taylor also enjoyed watching serial killer documentaries and shows like Supernatural and The Office. Her musical tastes reflected her personality; bold and eclectic, favoring rock, country, bluegrass, and strong female lead vocalists.
Taylor is survived by her beloved husband, Charles, her cherished children, Tiffany, Tanner, Travis, and bonus son, Dayton Ferguson; her treasured granddaughters, Lilah and Raelynn Tyrrell; her loving parents, David (Amy) Krempel and Kristen (Alexander III) Gerulis; her dear siblings, James (Lori) Krempel and Alex III (Song) Gerulis; and adored nephew, Evan Krempel. She also leaves behind her dearest friend Lindzi Holmes. Taylor is reunited in eternal peace with her late son Kade B. Krempel, and her maternal aunt, Kyle Krzewina.
Taylor’s beautiful spirit, humor, and her deep love for family and friends will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
