Lucy Hockett Ingley

Lucy Hockett Ingley, age 81, passed away August 17, 2023.  Loving mother of Aaron Harlin Ingley (Julia Elizabeth Erickson) and Andrew Fred (Marissa Ross) Ingley; cherished grandmother of Asher and Anderson; dearest and very close cousin of Linda Price and second cousin of Scott Price and Ashley Holder.

Born and raised in Florida, Lucy earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Florida State University and her Master’s Degree from Florida Atlantic University.  For more than 35 years, she worked at the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) in the Missing and Exploited Children division and was instrumental in setting up the Amber Alert system in the state of Florida.

Lucy loved to travel and especially enjoyed traveling with her family and close friends Sherry Gomez, Lyn Jones, and Janis Green.  Family was Lucy’s greatest passion, and she was loved by all who knew her.

A Memorial Service was held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Church of Our Saviour Episcopal Church, 530 West Fullerton Parkway, Chicago.  A second Memorial Service will be will be held at Holy Comforter Church, 2015 Fleischmann Rd., Tallahassee, Florida where Lucy was a longtime member and where her cremated remains will be placed in the columbarium.
