Katherine Marion Dawson, 77, of Joliet, passed away April 5, 2017. Beloved wife of the late James Dawson, the late Eugene Roberts and the late George Peterson; loving mother of Linda Leen and Mark Peterson; cherished grandmother of Angela and Christopher Haswell, Nicole (Bryan) Lee, Rick and Brittany Leen and Danielle, Kayla, Christian, Lauren and Ashley Harmon; dearest great grandmother of 19 including the late Dodge Haswell; devoted sister of William and Charles (Sue) Weir, Patricia (James) Heneghan and the late Robert Lunz; fond aunt and great aunt of many nieces and nephews. Katherine will also be missed by many friends, especially John Lundberg and family. She enjoyed NASCAR races and was a devout Green Bay Packer fan. A memorial prayer and committal service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, April 7th at All Saints Cemetery Chapel, 700 N. River Rd., Des Plaines.
