Judith Lee Printz

Judith Lee Printz, nee Cisowski, a cherished matriarch and compassionate caregiver, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2025, in Naperville, Illinois, surrounded by her loving family. Born on April 24, 1940, in Chicago, Illinois, Judith was a beacon of kindness and selflessness throughout her life, embodying a spirit that radiated warmth and love to all who knew her.

A distinguished career marked her profound dedication to nurturing life, as Judith served tirelessly as a Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery. Beyond her clinical contributions, she embraced roles as a Certified Spiritual Director, Hospice Volunteer, Nursing Home Volunteer, and Substance Abuse Counselor. A staunch advocate for human rights, her unwavering commitment to helping others not only defined her professional accomplishments but also underscored her profound empathy and spiritual depth—a true testament to her life's purpose.

Judith’s family was her greatest pride and joy. She cherished the treasured memories of family trips, boating adventures (LOL), and joyous holidays such as those heartwarming Thanksgivings when her grandchildren would serenade her with the timeless song "Hey Jude." Her selflessness and nurturing demeanor made her not just a great mom who instilled values of kindness, perseverance and empathy, but an amazing wife to her devoted husband, Daniel M. Printz. Described by Judith as their 64 "mostly wonderful years" of marriage, it was a partnership characterized by mutual respect and unconditional love. Together, they created a home filled with love, laughter, and spiritual growth.

Judith was a woman whose interests reflected her love of life. She found joy in nature and gardening, often tending to her plants with the same care she showed her family. A lover of reading and crossword puzzles, she enjoyed tackling challenges that engaged her mind. Dancing brought her immense joy, especially when paired with a glass of chardonnay. Her faith was a cornerstone of her existence; as a member of Christian Family Movement (CFM), Christ Renews His Parish, Marriage Encounter, and as a Eucharistic Minister, she generously shared her faith and devotion with others. Her long-standing membership at Sacred Heart Parish in Lisle, St Francis de Sales in Holland, Michigan, and Queen of All Saints Basilica in Chicago was a testament to her commitment to her spiritual community.

Judith is survived by her beloved husband, Daniel M. Printz; her loving children, Tracy (Brian) Bertke, Daniel (Nancy) Printz, Leanne (Tony) Alvizu, John (Yvonne) Printz, Ruth (Jim) Hornacek and Jason (Jenny) Printz; her cherished grandchildren, Hope (Daniel) Ruwe, Daniel Printz, Brian Printz, Elise (Grey) Bozeman, Anthony Jr. (Rachel) Alvizu, Alex Alvizu, Christopher Nava, Dylan Nava, Nathan (Lauren) Printz, Evan (Haley Bachman, fiancée) Printz, Kyle Hornacek, Sarah Hornacek, Drew Hornacek, Lily Printz and Lanie Printz, along with her treasured great-grandchildren, Ashleigh, Adalyn and an expected great grandson, Baby Boy Alvizu. She is also remembered fondly by her beloved brother, Jack Cisowski. Judith's family also mourns the loss of those who have preceded her, including her granddaughter Faith Printz, her parents, Walter and Leona Cisowski, and her sister Mary Ellyn Simmons.

As we reflect on Judith's remarkable journey, we are left with indelible memories of her grace and love. She inspired countless individuals through her compassionate spirit and unwavering dedication to her family and community. A remarkable woman, Judith Lee Printz will forever remain in our hearts as a guiding light, encouraging us to be kind, embrace the beauty of life, and cherish our families.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 17th, 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Colonial-Wojciechowski Funeral Home, 6250 N. Milwaukee Ave., Chicago. Friends and family will meet on Thursday, September 18th at Queen of All Saints Basilica, 6280 N. Sauganash Ave., Chicago for visitation from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Adalbert Cemetery in Niles.
