Juan A. Pagan III, affectionately known as Johnny, passed away suddenly on October 21, 2026, in Chicago, Illinois. He was born on July 26, 2001, in Chicago, and his life, though far too brief, was marked by warmth, joy, and a deep love for the people around him.
Johnny will be remembered as a loving and beloved son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend whose presence brought comfort and happiness to so many. He was compassionate, tender-hearted, caring, generous, thoughtful, and warm-hearted. Gentle and joyful, he was also funny, adventurous, and free-spirited. Those who knew him will remember how he brought laughter to all, brightened up every room he entered, and served as a protector to the people he loved. He was especially remembered for his kind heart, his smile, and his contagious laugh.
He found happiness in the simple and meaningful parts of life. Johnny enjoyed managing a softball team, playing video games, and spending time with family and friends. Among his proudest accomplishments were becoming a Mason and winning a softball championship with the Manati team. His commitment to brotherhood was reflected in his membership in New Yerusalem #158 PHA, where he was a member and took pride in being a Mason.
Johnny is survived by his beloved parents, Juan A. Pagan Jr. and Ana Caballero Garcia; cherished maternal grandparents, William Caballero Sr. and Miriam I. Caballero; loving siblings, Vyanka Garcia and Kristen, Justin, and Jennifer Pagan; dearest aunts and uncles, William (Cristina) Caballero, Ray "Jimmy" (Mitzi) Caballero, Myrna (Abraham) Torres, Diana Alejandro (Christine Harder), and Luis (Idde) Pagan. He is also lovingly remembered by many cousins and friends. Each of them shared in the love and laughter that defined his life, and his memory will remain a lasting part of their hearts and family gatherings.
