Gerald W. Meinke, 81, longtime resident of Lake Barrington, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on September 21, 2017. Beloved husband of Judith E., nee Wrede; loving father of Donna (Allen) Stevens, Tracy Accardi (Julie Mulligan) and Jerry Meinke (Tracy Atherton); cherished grandfather of Paige, Taylor, Brandon, Krista, Joey and Alex; dear brother of the late Harvey (the late Marge), Robert (the late Jessie) and Charles Meinke; fond uncle of many. A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, Sept. 30th from 11:00 a.m. until time of memorial service at 2:00 p.m at Morizzo Funeral Home, 2550 Hassell Road, Northeast corner at Barrington Road and Hassell Road, Hoffman Estates. Interment private.
