Daniel Mike Borys, affectionately known as "Bo Diddley," passed away on May 2, 2025 at the age of 66. Born on June 20, 1958, in Chicago, Illinois, Daniel lived a life characterized by incredible drive and perseverance, which he demonstrated throughout his career as an entrepreneur, master craftsman, and general contractor. His strong work ethic earned him the respect and admiration of those who worked alongside him.

Daniel had a variety of interests that added depth and joy to his life. He was not only an excellent pool player but also a passionate Harley Davidson enthusiast, embodying the spirit of adventure that accompanied these hobbies. These pastimes brought him much happiness and were shared with friends and family alike.

In addition to his professional achievements, Daniel took great pride in his role as a grandfather, cherishing the moments spent with his granddaughters. His legacy will be carried on by his beloved family, which includes his daughter, Michele Koutsoures Catalano and son, Dion Theodore Koutsoures (Becky Albert). He is also survived by his granddaughters, Mia Catalano and Presley Koutsoures, as well as his brothers, Steve and Rick Borys and Robert and Adam Dubielak; his sisters Lisa Dubielak and Monica Madziak; his former wife, Karen Koutsoures, and other family members, including his nephews, Joe Borys (Malana Campus) and Jonathan Pladis, great nephew Aiden Campus, and great niece Savannah Borys.

He was preceded in death by his father, Steve Borys; mother, Donna Anna Madziak, nee Adamski; daughter, Paige Donahue; and sister, Barbara Borys.

A Celebration of Life for Daniel will be held and announced at a later date.

The memories of his warm and indomitable spirit will remain a guiding influence for those who knew and loved him. Daniel Mike Borys leaves behind a rich legacy shaped by his commitment to both his craft and his family, fostering bonds that will endure beyond his time.
