Brooke M. Schrayer-Allin

Brooke Marie Schrayer-Allin, age 46, left this world peacefully on June 29, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family. 

Brooke was the beloved wife of Derek Allin; a loving mother to her sons, Jake and Wyatt; a devoted daughter to Kathy Schrayer, nee Austin and the late George S. Schrayer Jr. and daughter in law of Robin Jr. and Sheila Allin; she was the cherished sister of James (Monica) Schrayer and Tracy Schrayer (Joanne Shlifka) and sister-in-law of Robin Allin III and Christopher (Jenna) Allin; and a treasured aunt of Scott (Maggie) and Ryan (Tara) Schrayer, Christina (Dennis) Birkley and Bryce and Isabella Allin and adored great aunt of Jack, Grace, Averie and Brecken Schrayer.

A natural stay at home mom who was always there for her entire family, Brooke never missed an opportunity to appreciate the little things that make life wonderful –from sipping coffee on her front porch while watching colorful birds on her feeders to fun family nights brimming with laughter. Brooke enjoyed tending to the flowers in her garden, making the most of weekend free time with a long dinner party with family and friends, and dreaming and planning her next vacation. Brooke loved her status as a cherished aunt and cousin to her many young relatives. She will be remembered as a loving, spirited friend.

Brooke's memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends, as she leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished moments that will never be forgotten. May her gentle soul rest in peace, knowing she was deeply loved and will be immensely missed.

Family and friends are invited to join in honoring Brooke’s legacy and sharing memories at a Celebration of Life event to be held on Saturday, July 20th, from 12:00 Noon – 4:00 p.m. with a time for sharing at 2:00 p.m. at McHenry VFW Post 4600, 3002 IL-120, McHenry, IL.   

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions made in Brooke's memory to YMCA Camp Duncan, 32405 N. US Highway 12, Ingleside, IL 60041 would be appreciated.
