Betty Helen (Krzywicki) Monteagudo

Betty H. Monteagudo, nee Krzywicki, 70, longtime resident of Chicago, passed away July 4, 2020.  Beloved partner of the late Artemio “Art” Fuentes Jr.  for 42 years; loving daughter of the late Zygmunt Krzywicki and the late Janina Kruk; caring extended member of Art’s family; cherished friend and neighbor of many.

Betty was retired from her position as a cashier at the admitting desk department at Swedish Covenant Hospital, where she met many dear friends and with whom she continued to maintain close friendships over the years.   It was easy to adore Betty with her sweet and kind disposition.  She gave of herself to others with great consideration and depth and with no expectations.  Betty was also a great lover of cats, having had many pet kitties throughout her lifetime.  Betty’s genuine nature will be truly missed by her many friends, but she will always be remembered with love.

Friends and family will meet on Saturday, August 1st for a Funeral Service at 9:00 a.m. at Maryhill Cemetery Chapel, 8600 N. Milwaukee Ave., Niles where the lives of both Betty and Art will be celebrated.  Interment will follow at Maryhill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions made in Betty’s memory to Chicago Cat Rescue or Harmony House for Cats would be appreciated.
