Alexandria "Sandy" Hope (Collins) Boldyga

Alexandria “Sandy” Hope Boldyga, nee Collins, 59, of Westmont, passed away September 24, 2023.  Loving mother of Matt (Ashley) Boldyga and Alex (Keith) Corwin; cherished grandmother of Riley, Ryne and Rowan Boldyga and Adalyn and Olivia Corwin; beloved daughter of the late Thomas and the late Jane Collins; dearest sister of Daniel (Anne Marie) Collins, Patrice Collins, the late Mary (the late Joe) Hernandez and the late Thomas Collins (Cindy Collins-Ayres); fond aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Sandy Boldyga was an incredible person who had a lifelong impact on so many people.  There was nothing she was more proud of than being a mom and then a gramma, and she made sure that each knew they were loved unconditionally. She loved to cook and bake for all her family and friends - Baking with her grandkids was one of her greatest joys. She was also an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan, growing up watching games with her Dad, and eventually passing on that love to her children.

Sandy began her career in the mortgage industry, which eventually led to her opening her own business, Bath 1 Kitchens 2, with her partner. This is where she found her true passion for designing and working with her customers. Throughout her career, she continued to reinvent herself, finishing her career as a top consultant at Ferguson Enterprises. Sandy was a resourceful, determined woman, who never let unfortunate life events bring her down.

Sandy did not want a wake, so her family will be hosting an open house to celebrate her life from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 15th at her son’s home in Lemont, IL.  Should you have an interest in attending to pay your respects or share a fun memory of Sandy, please contact her son, Matt Boldyga (mboldyga@gmail.com).
