Paul William Deuter

Paul William Deuter, age 95, of Arlington Heights, former 50 year resident of Chicago’s North Side, passed away January 1, 2024.  Beloved husband of Joyce, nee Krause for 69 years; loving father of Lynn (Frank) Gaziano, Michael (Debbie), Cheryl (Dennis) Zahler and Joanne (Mary Pernacciaro);  cherished grandfather of Ron (Jo Anna) Deuter, Nick Deuter, Katie (Steve) Moore, Stephanie (Todd) Fallbacher, Pattie (Brett) Kaczorowski and Kim (Luis) Santamaria; proud great grandfather of Sam, Jack, Ellie, Jacob, Cole, Haylie, Allison, Alexis, Jack F., Hannah, Brooklyn, Cade, Blake, Madison, Luke, Elizabeth, Reid, Lucie, Ruthie, Gwen, Sofie and Remie and great, great grandfather of Valentina;  dear brother of the late Joel (Patti) Deuter; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Paul proudly served his country in the US Navy from 1946 to 1948 on the USS Iowa.  He enjoyed gardening, fishing and traveling.  Paul retired from Stimsonite after 49 years of service, a company where he was proud to work that marketed and manufactured reflective safety products.  Paul always took great interest in all the events and activities of his family members.

Service and interment private.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association , 225 N. Michigan Ave., Floor 17, Chicago, IL  60601 would be appreciated.
