Angelo "Poppies" Hernandez

Angelo “Poppies” Hernandez, 56, lifelong resident of Chicago, passed away January 24, 2018.  Beloved son of Ectore and the late Frances, nee Gutierrez; loving brother of Angela Hernandez (Rich Craig); cherished uncle of Letticia Santiago, Hannah (Jacob) Mota, Vanessa (Kenneth) Vance and Jessica Craig; dearest great uncle of Noah Mota, Brendan Vance and Kenneth Vance, Jr.; dear nephew and cousin of many.  In addition to being deeply missed by his close knit family, his absence will also be felt by his devoted canine companions, Joe, Pepper and Coco. Poppies enjoyed writing poetry and left many notebooks filled with his gift of literature.  He loved music and dancing and was an excellent cook. Poppies was a loving person and treated everyone as if they were family.  A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1080 W. Roosevelt Rd., Chicago on Thursday, February 1st at 10:00 a.m.  Interment private.
